Youth Exchanges

International Exchanges mainly aim at promoting international mobility and intercultural Learning of young European citizens. During these moments of intercultural aggregation not only the personal growth of youngsters is boosted, but also an effective exchange of knowledge, points of view, ideas and initiatives among people with different cultural backgrounds is guaranteed. For these reasons, International Exchanges are a precious opportunity for intercultural, social and linguistic Learning.<
Yout Crew deals with cross-cultural exchanges, initiatives planned and financed by the European Commission under the European program Erasmus+, with the aim of encouraging young people’s international mobility, intercultural exchange, increasing the active participation of youngsters and an active European citizenship.

But what is an International Exchange? It is an opportunity of short duration – from six to fifteen days –, during which young people from different countries between 13 and 25 years old meet to share, learn, exchange ideas, points of view and cultural backgrounds on significant issues such as the environment, the arts, civic life…

The activities are coordinated and implemented by trainers and educators based on the principles of non-formal education and intercultural learning.

As for the other Key Actions of the Erasmus+ program, International Exchanges as well are financed by the European Commission covering living costs and providing a budget that varies depending on the distance bands for the reimbursement of travel costs.

Intercultural Exchanges can take place in Italy or in another country and include activities of discussion, brain storming and sharing of ideas but also practical ones such as exercises, role plays, artistic and creative workshops. In this way, participants improve their language and expressive skills through a constant dialogue with foreign participants.

During the intercultural exchanges the feeling of strong aggregation and socialization is intertwined with the international atmosphere and the possibility to learn about new places, creating a unique and informal opportunity to have fun while Learning.
