Youth Crew promotes training courses in the field of non-formal education, intercultural learning, international mobility and project management for socio-cultural projects in Italy and abroad.
Training courses are projects that last up ten days and they are financed by the Key Action 1 of the Erasmus+ programme of the Commission for Culture and Education of the European Union. They provide a very full program of activities aimed at improving the quality of the work of youth organisations and their stakeholders. The goal of the trainings is mainly to provide the participants the tools they need to organise and manage independently mobility projects at an international level.
The training courses are tailored for leaders of youth organisations such at teachers, instructors and practitioners who work with young people. This is why there is no age limit to participate in a training course. The trainings are the most effective way to spread good practices among organisation who are interested in sharing results. The activities of a training course refer to non-formal education methods and aim at improving knowledge, skills and competencies of the participants. Other than being a great learning opportunity, training courses are the perfect way to meet new organisations and establish new international partnerships under the Erasmus+ programme.
The difference between a training course and an international exchange is remarkable: apart from the target – which in international exchanges is much younger – in exchanges much more room is devoted to socialising while in training courses is the educational activity, therefore the quality level and the content, that take most of the time. Even refunds are different from those of international exchanges: the budget per person provided to cover the travel costs is higher and a participation fee can be asked by the hosting organisation.
